The Brief
Broadview was contacted by this homeowner in Arne seeking a shading solution for their open plan kitchen-dining room. They identified Louvolite roller blinds as the perfect option and were impressed by our specialist knowledge on this niche product, which isn’t as readily available from other suppliers.
The Solution
In order to provide the best solution for our client, we initiated a free home visit to measure the space and gain a thorough understanding of their requirements.
With seven patio door panels requiring shading, Louvolite roller blinds were deemed the right choice. The client opted for Perspective Desert Sand, an easy-clean neutral fabric and perfect option for an active kitchen-dining setting.
Given that the blinds were intended to cover sizable patio doors, it was imperative that the fabric did not obstruct the view or become a hindrance when not in use. To accomplish this, we incorporated a custom-painted ‘Blindspace pocket‘ during installation, ensuring that the roller blinds would remain entirely concealed and out of sight when not in use.
For convenience, and to remove the complication of annoying pull cords, The blinds were also fully automated and equipped with a Somfy 240 Volt RTS motor. This allows for effortless opening and closing of the blinds (both in tandem and individually) via remote control.
